The United States maintains a voluntary military. That means that there is no draft (military conscription) requiring all young men to serve. However if there is ever an extraordinary need in the future, the Selective Service System maintains information on eligible U.S. citizens and immigrant non-citizens (such as permanent residents, refugees, asylees and undocumented aliens).
